Membership Policy

Full Membership is open to anyone over the age of 16 living or working in Parish of Glaisdale  (including all of Houlsyke and Fryupdale) or anyone with a genuine connection to Lealholm village. 

Application for Full membership shall include an application for one share and any subscription or other sum due in respect of membership for the time being in force. 

Associate Membership is open to anyone over the age of 16 not living or working in Glaisdale Parish who support the objects of Lealholm CLT and agree to abide by its rules.

Application for Associate membership shall not include shares but applicants are asked to make a donation.

The Board of Trustees may, at its discretion, admit to membership any individual, corporate body or nominee of an unincorporated body, firm or partnership whose specialist skills or knowledge will benefit the society.

Members must support the objects of Lealholm CLT and agree to abide by its rules. Full Rules are available on-line in the Members Area.

 As a Full Member of Lealholm CLT, you will receive the following benefits;

          · Have a say of the in the direction of the Trust by voting at the AGM

          · Elect members of the board of Trustees at AGM 

          · Potential selection as/ election of official(s) to Committees and sub-committees

          · Act as guardians of the Assets and Object of the Trust and promote its interests

          · Receive regular new and events information

          · Volunteering opportunities to participate in a range of community projects

          · Access to the Members Only area of the website

An application for membership can be made by completing the following form or made in writing to the registered office. 

The membership committee will consider each application on its merits having regard to;

          · The rules of the society

          · Potential conflicts of interest

          · Whether applicants are Board members or paid staff of other CLTs

The Full Membership payment includes the cost of a £1 ordinary share plus a £9 donation for administration, postage, stationary etc.

A similar donation would be expected from Associate Members to cover admin costs.
